ESKISEHIR-TCDD RAILWAY ECOLOGICAL PASSAGE BRIDGE PROJECT

The corrugated steel structure "Ecological Bridge Structure", which was tendered by Turkish State of Railways, was built and implemented in Mihalıçcık/Eskişehir as a result of the initiative of ViaCon Turkey. For this steel structure, which is planned to serve for the sustainability of wildlife, SuperCor® SB-11HA, a product of ViaCon Turkey, was chosen in accordance with its location and dimensions. The structure, which has a span of 18.41 meters and a height of 9.56 meters, was designed to provide a 2-track railway crossing with a length of 74.15 meters.

Corrugated steel structure, after the completion of the reinforced concrete foundation production, was completed “within 22 days” and made ready for backfilling. With the completion of the backfill layers after the assembly of the steel structure, the corrugated steel Ecological bridge structure was finalized and put into use. All parts of the corrugated steel structure were produced in Sakarya/Turkey.

ISTANBUL - IZMIR HIGHWAY STEEL HYDRAULIC CULVERT PROJECT

A new highway is designed from Gebze, Kocaeli to İzmir for directly connecting İstanbul and Industrial area near İstanbul to İzmir which is 3rd of the biggest city of Turkey. At km 111+167,50 and km 112+577 two hydraulic culverts are needed. Due to soil profile these culverts are too long(more than 200m). Investor and contractor companies have decided to use steel culvert for this area. Because steel Culvert's construction time is very short (with small crew, a small crane and hand tools) and preassembly at factory and soil works are able to go on simultaneously. In this project Multiplate MP200 is used. MultiPlate are corrugated steel plates which can create a ring via bolting each other and can create a pipe shape structure via bolting rings.

In this project 5 different thickness are used 3-4-5-6-7 mm depending on the depth of road filling. Also steel plates have got zinc coating and 1 mm reserve layer against corrosion. Total 463 m culvert construction was completed in 5 weeks with 8 workers.

MENEMEN ‐ ALIAGA ‐ ÇANDARLI HIGHWAY NEONTEIKHOS ANCIENT CITY ROAD BRIDGE

The route of Menemen‐Aliağa‐Çandarlı Highway intersects with the ancient road of the Neonteikhos Ancient City. In order to protect the ancient road in place, a bridge was designed with ViaCon Corrugated Steel construction systems. The locations of the stones of the ancient road were recorded and the road was later removed then Supercor bridge was built. After the necessary filling was made on the steel bridge, the ancient road was placed in its original place. S420 grade steel was used in the bridge.

The plate thickness was determined to be 8 mm main structure + 8mm rib structure. In order to reduce the moments affecting the structure, the filler was strengthened by applying steel mesh inside the filler. The Bridge of neighboring 2 structures and each of them stands over a 6‐lane motorway.

HENDEK MUNICIPALITY–KAZİMİYE THESSALONIKI BRIDGE PROJECT

“Kazımiye Thessaloniki Bridge”, tendered by Hendek Municipality, has been implemented by ViaCon İnşaat; Its spaning is 11 meters, allowing two-lane vehicle passage. Its height is 3.13 mt. and a length of 9.20 meters.

The SuperCor® Multi-Plate Corrugated Steel Structure System, which is planned to serve for hydraulic purposes, was produced in our Sakarya Hendek factory with completely local facilities and its assembly was completed within one day after the concrete foundation production. With the completion of backfill, stone wall works and asphalt layers, the bridge was opened for use.

ZONGULDAK EREGLI ROAD- STRENGTHENING OF EXISTING CULVERT Km:2+100‐5+000

Almost half of an existing 150m length culvert was damaged and was out of service due to earth flow from crown of the culvert. Total height of cover is 25m. Because of this high cover, it is very difficult to excavate the road, remove the existing culvert and build new one. Multiplate system was used for relining and existing culvert is rescued. First earth fall was stopped by using temporary ground support like a mining tunnel. Then inside of the culvert was cleaned from soil and water. As a second step sand bedding was done. On this sand bedding, multiplate assembly was performed. Corrugated steel structure was constructed to strengthen the existing damaged culvert located on Zonguldak‐Ereğli road.

The multi‐plate corrugated steel structure "MultiPlate® VT1" is 2.83 meters wide and 2.68 meters high. It was nice and easy to manufacture inside the existing damaged structure by the production of 1.20 meter long plates in a bolted combination.

TEKIRDAG MUNICIPALITY - SAGLAMTAS HYDRAULIC CULVERT

Corrugated steel structure was constructed for hydraulic purposes in Sağlamtaş Village, Tekirdağ Province. The multi‐plate corrugated steel structure "MultiPlate® VN10" is 4.60 meters wide and 2.98 meters high. Assembly of structure took 10 hours with a team of 5.

Construction of the corrugated steel culvert took 12 hours (including excavation and backfill works) due to simplicity in assembly by the production of 1.20 meter long corrugated steel plates in a bolted combination. All parts of VN10 MultiPlate structure were produced and installed in Turkey.

ERZINCAN ILIC GOLD MINE, 5-WAY STEEL TUNNEL CONSTRUCTION PROJECT

In a related project; Corrugated steel tunnel construction has been conducted. Project has been conducted with SuperCor Product that is using innovative steel bridge system Project has been complete with steel type of SuperCor Product that using in innovative bridge systems.

Dimensions of the bridge has been design 12 m span, 5,65m height, 51,19m base length. Tunnel was built for the vehicles that carry the 200 ton heavy equipment In the framework of eurocode standards.

IN THE SCOPE OF ETHIOPIA AWASH WELDIA RAILWAY- STEEL CULVERTS MANUFACTURING

The nature and the utmost protection of water resources was provided with in the scope of the project. To ensure it, all of the possible effects that may arise during the construction and operational phase were predicted with engineering calculations. To keep completely under control field operations and measures to minimize the possible effects can be prevented by blocking in cases where it was prepared and implemented. Within the scope of the project; 561 tons of Steel production factory in the first place Tunnel Assembly equipment including 7.700 pieces have been delivered, including Delivery. Rail Ethiopia continue production under the project.

HATAY-YAYLADAGI- ROAD CULVERT RETROFIT CONSTRUCTION PROJECT

Within the context of the new split road project, the need for extension of the concrete grill, which provides passage for rainwater and livestock animals, has emerged. Within the scope of the project, existing concrete culvert cross section is kept intact and it is aimed at strengthening existing concrete cullet at the same time with additional culvert manufacturing. This improvement was accomplished in three stages as the filling of the culvert and the replacement of the base, the placement of the steel structure, and the subsequent filling of the section between the steel structure and the existing culvert with concrete injection. 2x2,5 meters in size, domed culverts belt, specially 1,67x2,33 feet in size, MP200-type perforations during the corrugated steel structure supported by concrete and steel structure at specific intervals with vibrations on high slampli injected with a settlement Was achieved. L type steel anchors for concrete and steel were used to work together m20x275 specialy.

IN THE SCOPE OF NORTH MARMARA HWY 3.BRIDGE PROJECT- ECOLOGIC BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION

The planned and designed as steel structure for wildlife in the forest along in the route of the North Marmara motorway and 3. Bridge. The Bridge has aesthetics and ecological harmony with nature and high level standards. The completion of the project took about three months.

The aim and built style of the bridge is carries the same purpose for the normal course and sefety of living things in the forests intersecting with the highway. During the construction of the bridge with steel structures, which are designed to reduce the amount of material waste.
Dimensions: Width: 22m, Height: 7.9m to Bottom Length: 70m.
Design service life in this climate is expected to be 100 years.
